God’s Way is Best

Through the wars David waged, he established the peace that Solomon now enjoys. It is a time of prosperity in the kingdom as Solomon prepares to build God’s Holy temple.

To do so, he will need the very best materials, so he turns to a trusted ally of his father, king Hiram of Tyre. This man may not have been a follower of the true God, but he did have respect for Him. After negotiating terms, the materials begin to flow and work is under way. Hiram will receive food for his people in exchange for the high quality supplies for constructing God’s house.

Solomon’s wisdom is again displayed not only in his negotiation of materials, but also the work force. He established an organization of leadership as well as a systematic work schedule for the laborers. This rotation of labor insured a safe and well rested workforce.

You see, through his God given wisdom, Solomon understood the importance of planning and organization. We have all heard “Those who fail to plan, plan to fail.” This is so true!

God always has a plan and He will ultimately bring it to pass. Planning and organization are crucial to successfully completing a task to the best of our ability. “Let all things be done decently and in order.” ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭14:40‬

Through prayer and meditating on His word, the Lord will give us guidance for what lies ahead. Challenges can either be opportunities to trust God and succeed or times of turmoil and failure. Let’s be organized and wisely establish a plan of action before tackling any serious objective. It’s God’s way, and it needs to be our way as well.
