Our Beliefs Scripture - The Bible We believe all Scripture was given by inspiration of God and God has promised to preserve every word of what He inspired. We hold to the Authorized Version (King James Bible) as the inerrant standard for English speaking people and believe we find within it the certainty of the words of truth. The Trinity We believe in one true God who is manifest in three eternal Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (1 John 5:7, Matthew 3:16-17 and 28:19).

The Lord Jesus We believe that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man and is the only one who can reconcile us to God.
Eternal Salvation We believe salvation is by God’s grace alone on the basis of the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross and in his resurrection, appropriated by the faith of anyone who will recognize that their sin separates them from God, turn from their sin to God by personally believing in their heart that Jesus is risen, and confess with their mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord. We believe this salvation cannot be reversed or lost and that believers are kept by the power of God. The Return of Christ We believe in the literal, physical return of Jesus Christ to the earth in power and great glory to judge the world and reign.

Why We Hold to Our Beliefs

  • We believe that the Bible, both Old and New Testament is the inspired Word of God. It is inerrant, authoritative, and applicable to our everyday lives. (2 Tim. 3:16-17, 2 Pet. 1:20-21)
  • We believe in One God who is revealed in the Holy Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Deut. 6:4, Matt. 28:19, 2 Cor. 13:14, John 14:10,26)
  • We believe that sin has separated each of us from God and His purpose for our lives. (Isa. 59:2, Isa. 64:7, Mic. 3:4, Rom. 6:16, Rom. 6:23)
  • We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man and is the only One who can reconcile us to God. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross in our place, rose again to life, and ascended to Heaven. (John 1:1,14, John 10:30, Col. 2:9, Heb. 1:8, John 11:25-26, 1 Cor. 15:3-4, 2 Cor. 5:14-15)
  • We believe that we receive an eternal salvation, the forgiveness of our sins, and reconciliation to God, by grace through faith in Jesus. (John 3:5, 16-17, Eph. 2:8-9, Rom. 5:8, Acts 4:12, Rom. 10:13)
  • We believe in water baptism by immersion for every believer and that the baptism is not part of salvation, but is one of the first steps of obedience in our Christian walk. (Acts 8:36-39, John 3:23, Matt 3:16, Matt 28:19, Rom. 6:3-4)
  • We believe that God has a plan and purpose for each of our lives and that He enables us by His grace to grow in love, maturity, and relationship with Him. (2 Peter 3:18, Eph. 3:17-18, Eph. 4:15, Col. 2:6-7, John 15:5)
  • We believe that each person will exist eternally. Whether we spend eternity with God or separated from Him is determined by our response to the grace and salvation of Jesus. (Matt. 25:46, John 5:28-29, John 11:25-26)
  • We believe that Jesus will come back again for the Church. (Dan. 2:31-45, 1 Thes. 4:13-17, Titus 2:13, Rev. 19:11-16)
