Bible Text: Exodus 18:1-12 | Speaker: Pastor David Goodson | Series: The Great Escape | Last week in our message titled: “The Lord Is My Banner”, the Israelites had their first opportunity to face an adversary which appeared in the form of an Amalek army. Through this conflict, we saw Joshua, (which is Hebrew for Jesus) leading them, while Moses was praying from the hilltop on their behalf. It was the combination of their obedience to fight, as they followed Joshua and their trusting in God’s power that brought them the victory. As we face the many challenges of life, we saw how, that is the very same strategy we should be employing in our lives as we fight temptation, sin and spiritual attacks. This week we will shift from confrontation to celebration, in our message titled, “Rejoice in the Lord.”
