70 – Warnings of Sin
| The Lord reassured Moses that He would be traveling with them to the Promised Land and as we remember Moses asked to see God’s glory. Because of God’s love for Moses, He agreed to letting him see a small portion of His glory as he would get a glimpse of His back. What Moses didn’t understand was that, not only was God protecting him from the damaging affects that His presence would have on him, but He was also teaching Moses where he could safely see God in all of His glory.
Thankfully we have the same opportunity that Moses did as he didn’t see God’s true glory with his eyes, but he did hear it with his ears through God’s words. You and I have God’s preserved words in our hands today in the form of the King James Bible. So let’s open His word and let God’s glory be revealed to us today through His words.
As we pick up this morning, Moses has just had the incredible experience of glimpsing God’s overwhelming glory with His eyes and then hearing His full glory with all of its power in his ears and heart. So with an overwhelmed heart and probably a pounding chest Moses begins….. Exodus 34:9-16
